Apple has started offering a bonus of 10 percent for those adding funds to the Apple ID account. The offer is valid up to April 3rd and is available for users in Germany, Australia, United States, Canada, and other countries.
Apple ID fund can be used to purchase apps and games on the App Store. Furthermore, the funds can also be used on the iTunes Store, Apple Book Store, Apple Music or any of the Apple services. For example, if you add $200 to your account then you will get a balance of $220. So thats a $20 extra.
It is worth noting that you can use funds to pay for Netflix, Disney+ and other subscriptions. In other words, you will get a 10 percent discount on all apps and services available on the App Store.
Here is how you can add funds to your Apple ID account on the App Store
- Open the App Store
- Tap on your profile picture displayed on the top right corner
- Tap on Add Funds to Apple ID
- You can either select from $10, $25, $50, $100 or you can choose a custom amount
- Tap on Next
- Authenticate the transaction by clicking on Pay and entering Apple ID Credentials or you can also use TouchID/FaceID
Interestingly this is not the first time Apple is offering bonus credits. Apple offered a 10 percent discount last year for funds directly added to an Apple ID account in select countries. The offer was available for more than a month. That being said, retailers often offer a better discount ranging from 15-20% on iTunes gift cards.
